About Yorba Linda EV Charger
A licensed California C-10 electrical contractor that installs EV charging and nothing else.
Why This Company Does Only One Thing
Yorba Linda EV Charger came out of a pattern we kept running into on general electrical calls: charger installations that had been done by competent electricians who simply had not studied how EV supply equipment behaves. A charger is not a dryer outlet. It draws its full rated current continuously for hours, often overnight, in a garage with limited airflow, and the code requirements and failure modes that follow from that are specific enough to deserve their own specialty. We decided to become that specialty rather than treat charger work as one more line item.
Yorba Linda made sense as the base. EV adoption across this city and the neighborhoods around it climbed faster than the local electrical infrastructure was built to anticipate, and the housing stock here creates a genuinely interesting problem. Homes near Old Town and along the original Yorba Linda Boulevard corridor were built when 100-amp service was standard and a household ran a fraction of today's load. Newer construction in Vista Del Verde, Kerrigan Ranch, and Bryant Ranch has the capacity but often puts the panel a long way from where people actually park. Both situations need a load calculation and a real plan, not a default quote.
What Yorba Linda EV Charger stands for today is fairly simple to state and harder to practice consistently: run the calculation before selling the hardware, pull the permit every time, torque every termination to specification, and verify the install under real load before leaving. That is the whole standard. It is also why our repair work so frequently involves correcting somebody else's shortcut rather than replacing failed equipment.
Our Mission
To make home and commercial EV charging in Yorba Linda safe, permitted, and genuinely reliable, by treating every installation as an electrical engineering problem rather than a product install. That means the customer gets the honest answer about their panel even when the honest answer is cheaper than the alternative, and it means no installation leaves our hands until it has been inspected and verified under the conditions it will actually operate in.
We also think EV owners deserve to understand their own electrical system. Every quote comes with an explanation of what we found and why we are recommending what we are recommending, in language that does not require an electrician to interpret.
What Sets Yorba Linda EV Charger Apart
Local electrical knowledge, not general assumptions
Working continuously across Yorba Linda, Anaheim Hills, Placentia, and Brea means we know what is behind the wall before we open it. Neighborhood by neighborhood, we know which tracts still carry original 100-amp service and which have the capacity to support a 60-amp charger circuit today.
EVITP-certified installers
Every charger installation is performed by an installer trained through the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program, which covers exactly the material that general electrical training does not: continuous-load derating, charger ground-fault behavior, breaker coordination, and the long-term failure patterns specific to EV supply equipment.
Permits and inspections handled end to end
We file with the City of Yorba Linda Building Division or whichever jurisdiction applies, schedule the inspection, and meet the inspector at the property. Permitted work protects your resale position and keeps utility rebate and federal credit claims eligible, which is why we treat it as mandatory rather than optional.
Manufacturer-certified across the major brands
Tesla, ChargePoint, Wallbox, Enphase, Emporia, and Grizzl-E each have distinct mounting, commissioning, and warranty registration requirements. Certification across all of them means the warranty survives the install and the app pairs before we leave.
Flat-rate pricing with the number agreed first
Labor, materials, permit, and inspection are quoted as one written flat rate before work starts. If we find a condition that changes the scope, you hear the revised number before anything proceeds. There is no hourly meter and no surprise at the end.
California-specific rebate and incentive support
Southern California Edison programs and the federal alternative-fuel infrastructure credit each require documentation that a licensed contractor performed permitted work. We provide the itemized invoice, permit number, and equipment records in the form those programs ask for, so claims do not stall on missing paperwork.
Licensing, Certification, and Insurance
Every job is performed under a California C-10 electrical contractor license and covered by general liability insurance and workers' compensation. Certification and partner credentials are maintained current, and documentation is available on request before you book.
